Stewardship of Donations:

Awana is deeply committed to upholding the highest level of integrity in the stewardship of gifts. In accordance with IRS requirements and Awana ministry policies, we endeavor to ensure gifts made with a preferred-use toward a specific ministry purpose are used for such purpose. Donors acknowledge that contributions to Awana are tax-deductible as allowed by law and made with the understanding that Awana has complete discretion and control over donated funds, including the right to use such funds for other purposes consistent with its tax-exempt mission.

To further child discipleship in the US and around the world, a small portion of all preferred-use donations is allocated to indirect, administrative and fundraising costs, which helps ensure our programs are managed efficiently and effectively.

To maximize our impact globally, donations made with a preferred-use toward specific international countries and missionaries may be combined with other donations within the broader geographic region, which affords international leaders the ability to accomplish their highest priorities and greatest opportunities.

Finally, to ensure donated funds achieve their maximum potential impact, preferred-use gifts that cannot be fully utilized for their intended purpose within six months may be reallocated to other programs that further Awana's tax-exempt purposes.
